Even if you’ve never given it much thought, it’s likely you already have an image of how life will be like 10 years’ down the road. In this issue of Street Talk, we take to the streets to find out how some people imagine life will be like for them a decade later.
I will see myself enjoying my retirement! I’ll be at home attending to my plants, cooking, baking, sewing and taking care of my grandchildren. I will be able to relax and live life at a slower pace!
I'll be living away from my parents, either independently with my own family or on my own. I'll still be busy with work but I should be in a position where I have more freedom to shuffle personal time with work hours.
In 10 years’ time, I hope to be well-established in my consulting career and more financially stable. I should be more comfortable with my finances too by then and looking into purchasing a place of my own. I would also be focusing more on starting a family.
I see myself enjoying the returns of my various investments. My life will be at a more comfortable pace too as I will have passive income from investments to complement my main income from my job.
I will need to plan my finances properly to ensure that I’ll have a more comfortable life as I start preparing for retirement. I see myself doing more freelance work as that will allow me to have more control in terms of work-life balance.
In 10 years’ time, I will probably be thinking of starting a family! I don’t want to be too old to play with my kids when I become a mother.
